Albert Michael Guzikowski age 70 of Stronach Township, Michigan, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 16, 2015 at West Shore Medical Center after a fishing accident on the Manistee River.
He was born on August 25, 1944 in Manistee, Michigan and was the son of the late Edmund "Bonje" Guzikowski and the late Gladys (German) Guzikowski. He attended Manistee High School. He was employed with the Manistee Forge and later in life with Bob's Roofing. Albert was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his children and their families: Mary Ann Guzikowski (Muskegon, MI) and Michael Guzikowski (Manistee, MI) and his siblings and their families: Norma Wolf (Oregon) Edmund Guzikowski (Manistee, MI,) Allen Guzikowski (California) Alice Johnson (Shepherd, MI) David Marrison (abroad) Carmen Dixon (Florida) and Richard Schmidt (California). His sister-in-law Chris Marrison (Ludington, MI) also survives him. Albert will be missed by his family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Frank Marrison.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering to celebrate Albert's life will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Stronach Hall in Stronach where the family will gather to receive friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for final expenses may be expressed in care of Alice Johnson. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and will also be available at the Stronach Hall on Saturday.
