Allen D. Bladzik, age 75 of Manistee, MI died unexpectedly, Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI.

He was born February 24, 1943 in Manistee, son of the late David J. & Marian P. (Mack) Bladzik. He attended St. Joseph High School and later achieved his GED. He was a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War serving from March 21, 1967 until his honorable discharge on March 20, 1969. Al married Patricia D. Gilmore on January 19, 1970 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee. She preceded him in death on January 14, 2005. He and his wife Pat were also owners of 'A King and A Queen BINGO Supply" in Manistee for many years. He also painted for many people over the course of 40 years. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish (St. Joseph Church) of Manistee and a Life Member of the V.F.W. Walsh Post #4499.

He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Eric (Jennifer) Bladzik of Manistee, MI; his grand-daughters, Morgan and Krystal. 2 brothers & sisters-in-law, Darwin (Patricia) Bladzik of Manistee, MI and Michael (Amy) Bladzik of Ionia, MI. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

In addition to his parents and wife Pat, he was preceded in death by: 1 sister, Judith Stendel.

Cremation has taken place and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee with Rev. Lawrence Sergott celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery also in Manistee where members of the Manistee County United Veterans ritual Council will present graveside military honors. The family will be at the church one hour prior to Al's Mass to receive friends.
