Swidorski
Sep 14, 1933 — Jan 13, 2026
Manistee
Beverley May Swidorski, 92, of Spring Lake, Michigan, formerly of Manistee, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026. Born on September 14, 1933, Beverley lived a life full of love and generosity.
Beverley and her late husband, Donald, built Swidorski Oil Company in Manistee, creating a successful petroleum distribution business. Her business acumen and care for employees and customers made her a respected community figure.
Beverley was known for her warmth and hospitality, hosting legendary family gatherings. An exceptional cook, she delighted her family with favorites such as homemade chicken-noodle soup, mashed potatoes, and the occasional Polish dish. Her grandchildren cherish memories of cooking alongside her.
A devoted member of Divine Mercy Parish (Guardian Angels Catholic Church) and St. Patrick's – St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Beverley's faith was central to her life. She was an enthusiastic supporter of her grandchildren's sports, attended countless games, and enjoyed simple pleasures like shopping, dining out, and spending time with friends. She looked forward to winter trips to Gulf Shores, Alabama, with her longtime friends.
Beverley's spirit and positive outlook inspired all who knew her. She faced challenges with grace and humor, always remaining engaged with her loved ones. Her greatest legacy is the unconditional love she gave to her family and friends.
Beverley is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Debra and Cazz Cabot; Kathleen and Mark Niemerowicz; Jeanne and B.J. Lillibridge; Debra and David (deceased) Mouton; Laura Geelhoed; and Julie and Matt Stefanski. She was a loving grandmother to fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Rosemary Swidorski, many nieces and nephews, and the dear friends she made at Baldwin House Lloyd's Bayou. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald (2019); her parents, Irene Joslin and Ben Kaminski; her sister, Delores; and infant sister, Barbara.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Manistee, Michigan, at 11:30 a.m. with Reverend James Bearss celebrant. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery also in Manistee.
The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass, at 11:30 a.m.
Beverley's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, hard work, faith, and generosity. Her spirit lives on in the recipes, stories, and values she passed down. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her warm smile and welcoming embrace. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of Michigan - Muskegon in remembrance of Beverley. Hospice provided exceptional care in the final months of her life. The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is in charge of funeral arrangements.
