Obituary

It is with a tearful heart but a joyful spirit that Carol Theresa (Kubacki) Glocheski, 91, formerly of Manistee, MI, was peacefully called home to the good Lord and into His heavenly arms on Tuesday, June 28th, in Banning, CA, while surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born in December of 1930 to Adam and Theresa (Paprocki) Kubacki. She attended St Joseph School and graduated from Manistee High School in 1949. On August 24, 1957 she married Patrick (Pat) Glocheski of Manistee, MI and they had two daughters, Linda and Paula. In the 1940's, Carol worked at the now historic City Drug Store serving up an ice cream soda to satisfy a customer's sweet tooth. Carol was later employed by the Packaging Corporation of America in Manistee, MI and for 25 years, held administrative positions with the State of Michigan in Manistee, Muskegon and Grand Haven until her retirement. In 1998, Pat and Carol relocated to California where they enjoyed their retirement years and could be near to their two daughters and grandchildren. Keeping her friends and family from Michigan close, she endearingly developed new friendships in California. Up until recently, Carol loved playing golf and also enjoyed playing competitive bocce ball. She was an avid reader and always had a book nearby. Carol continued to be a loyal Michigan and Michigan State sports fan. She recently became a true blue LA Dodger baseball fan. Over the years, there were memorable trips Carol took back to Michigan (and Boston) to visit family and friends, and attend special occasions. Frequently, she also went on sightseeing and day trips around Southern California with her Sun Lakes friends. Carol had a flair for style, always dressed fashionably and decorated their home for holidays. Entertaining, cooking and hosting family gatherings gave her special joy. Carol's life was one of caring and selfless giving. She placed 'family' above all and held each and every one of them in her loving heart.

Carol is survived by her husband Patrick, of nearly 65 years. She was a loving and dedicated Mother to Linda (Joseph) Iparaguirre and Paula (Charles) Cardenas. A proud and doting Grandmother to Joey, Philip, Brittany Iparaguirre and Emily Morrow. Carol was also privileged to be a caring grandma to Shaun Morrow, Alese Morrow and to great-grandchildren Andrew and Austin, and to David (Kelly) Cardenas and to great-grandchildren Charlotte and Nixon. Carol will also be fondly remembered as matriarch of her Kubacki nieces and nephews and by her many Froncek, Glocheski, Miller, Paprocki and Wittlief loving relatives.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Theresa and her 4 siblings and their spouses: Clara (Frank) Newman, Edward (Alice) Kubacki, Leona (Warren) Heuer, and Raymond (Delores) Kubacki.

She was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Chapel in Banning, CA and an Auxiliary Member of the American Legion. Carol was an active member of the Sun Lakes Executive Golfers Club and of the Friends of Bocce Ball Club.

Carol made a loving impression on everyone she knew and will be deeply missed yet always remembered with love. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." A private memorial service will be held on August 1, 2022. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California. Condolences may be directed to; Patrick Glocheski c/o Weaver Mortuary 1177 Beaumont Ave. Beaumont, CA 92223. The family suggests donations in Carol's memory be made to: Manistee Catholic Central 1200 US 31 Manistee, MI 49660.  The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is assisting locally.
