Carol Laureen Lindeman age 65 of Ludington, Michigan, died Sunday, February 17, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born July 24, 1953 in Manistee, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Awald Otto "Slim" and Dorothy (Hardy) Lindeman. She was a graduate of Manistee High School with the Class of 1971. She received her Associates Degree in 1974 from West Shore Community College. She later attended West Shore Community College and received her Associates Degree in Registered Nursing in 1991. During her lifetime Carol was employed for two summers at the Manistee Laundry, for fourteen years at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan and for twenty plus years at the Oakview Medical Care Facility in Ludington, Michigan. She was Baptized and a lifelong a member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Manistee, Michigan. Carol's hobbies included crocheting, knitting, baking and traveling. She was also known for being a huge "animal lover".

Carol is survived by her brother and sister in-law, Terry and Jean Lindeman of Stronach, MI, and a very close friend Jane Krolczyk of Ludington, MI.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Awald and Dorothy (Hardy) Lindeman, her grandparents, Rudolph and Augusta Lindeman and Charles and Elizabeth Hardy and by her sister Brenda Gorecki.

According to Carol's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Manistee on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Dennis Rahn officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in the spring. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the memorial service. A funeral luncheon for family and friends will follow the funeral service in the school cafeteria.

Memorials will be established in Carol's name for Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, for Homeward Bound Animal Shelter all of Manistee, Lakeshore Animal Friends of Ludington, and Great Lakes Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and will be available at the church. The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is in charge of funeral arrangements.
