Cassandra Jo Powalisz , beloved wife of Richard "Dick" Powalisz, age 80 of Manistee, Michigan, died Friday evening, December 23, 2022 at the Medi Lodge of Ludington, Michigan.

She was born on November 26, 1942 in Manistee, Michigan, daughter of the late Clayton and Alice (Andersen) Criswell.

On July 29, 1992 she married Dick Powalisz in Manistee, MI and shared 30 years together, having known each other since the second grade.

She was a member of the Manistee Eagle's Women's Auxiliary where she was very active over the years and served in every office.  She and Karen Swathwood worked and organized the 100 Club Dinners once a year, for many years. Jo was an avid bowler and was a past secretary of the Manistee Women's League. Jo always had a love for, and enjoyed cooking.

She is survived by her husband Richard "Dick" Powalisz, her son Tom (Alice) Scott, daughter Devi (Robert) VanVoorst, four grandchildren Brent (Tracy) Gentz, Kaila Gentz, Michael (Petra) Kott, Christina Kott and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter & son-in-law Darcie & Mac McKinney.
