Clarence J. Schultz, age 91 of Manistee, MI died peacefully early Friday morning March 11, 2016 at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility in Manistee.

He was born on December 2, 1924 in Manistee, Michigan son of the late Frank & Rose Schultz. Clarence married Betty Jean Schweitzer on May 11, 1957 in Manistee, MI. Clarence was employed at Mercy Community Hospital for 19 years and later went on to work at Morton Salt Company for 13 years up until his retirement. He enjoyed playing his accordion and was a member of the Catholic Community of Manistee (St. Joseph Catholic Church).

Clarence is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Betty J. Schultz of Manistee, MI, three sons; Kenneth Schweitzer, Clarence Schultz and Rick (Teri) Schultz all of Manistee, MI, six grandchildren; Benjamin Schultz, Andrew Schultz, Amanda Schultz, Aaron Schultz, Justin Schultz and Kyle Schweitzer and eleven great grandchildren. He is also survived by many, many "Dear Friends".

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents Frank & Rose, by a son Dwayne Schultz and a brother Richard Schultz.

Funeral Services from The Order of Christian Funerals will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee with Rev. Peter Wigton officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.

The family will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the time of service on Saturday to receive friends.

Clarence will be remembered by all for his friendly greeting "How are you my dear friend?"
