Claudia M. Polcyn, 90 of Manistee, Michigan, passed away peacefully July 14, 2015 at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility.

Born in Manistee, MI on March 14, 1925, she was the beloved daughter of Stephen Polcyn and Josephine Polcyn (Stefaniak). She graduated from Manistee High School and was a St. Mary's Hospital Nurse graduate. She completed her Bachelors of Science in nursing at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and went on to become Assistant Director of Nursing at Milwaukee Children's Hospital. She returned to Michigan to complete her Masters of Occupational Therapy and worked for the Munson Home Care Program. Claudia retired after many years of distinguished service as Coordinator of the Utilization Review Program at Cadillac Mercy Hospital. Her work received numerous accolades including a special citation from the Michigan Department of Public Health. She was a conscientious caregiver and loving aunt, daughter, sister, cousin and friend. She will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege to know her.
Predeceased by her parents and eight siblings, Claudia is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday July 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery also of Manistee. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday morning one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 254 6th Street, Manistee.
