Daniel J. Springborn, age 60 of Manistee, MI died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.

He was born on November 11, 1955 in Manistee Michigan son of Donald Jr. & Susan (Levandoski) Springborn. Daniel was a graduate of Manistee High School with the Class of 1974. He married Brenda Sheafor on November 10, 1990 in Manistee, Michigan. Brenda preceded him in death on December 28, 2006. Dan was employed for twenty six years at the Martin Marietta Company in Eastlake and was also a self- employed auto mechanic having worked on the older model automobiles. He was a sports enthusiast and loved to watch sports especially on television.

He is survived by two sons, Eric Springborn and Jason Springborn both of Irvine, Kentucky, his step-daughter, Jamie Wehner, his granddaughters, Alissa and Kendall, two step granddaughters, Elizabeth and Aailyhea, his parents, Donald Jr. and Susan (Levandoski) Springborn, three sisters, Belinda (Skip) Smith, Donna (Dick) Hovinga, and Kathy Springborn and his two brothers, John Springborn and Shawn (Kayla) Springborn. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles also survive him.

A celebration of Daniel's life will take place on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church at 1201 Lakeshore Road, in Manistee with Reverend Tim Fauble officiating. A luncheon and time of sharing will follow the celebration of life service, also at the church.
