David Mielcarek age 73 of Traverse City, Michigan and formerly of Manistee. Died Saturday morning, September 24, 2016 at the Tendercare of Traverse City. He was born on March 19, 1943 in Manistee, Michigan and was the son of the late Emery and Elizabeth "Betty" (Nowak) Mielcarek.

David is survived by his brother and sister in-law, James and Kay Mielcarek of Manistee. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Jane Mielcarek and by two brothers, Robert and Donald Mielcarek.

According to Dave's wishes cremation has taken place and private family graveside services with burial took place on the family lot, at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Manistee.

The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee was in charge of funeral arrangements.
