David W. Sheafor, age 61 of Freesoil, MI died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Tendercare in Ludington.

He was born on July 19, 1955 in Hart, Michigan son of the late George and Lorraine (Powers) Sheafor. He was a graduate of Manistee High School Class of 1974. David was employed with Stronach Township as their maintenance man up until he became disabled.

He is survived by four sisters & brothers-in-law: Thelma & Ronald Chappel of Freesoil, MI, Mary Jo & Bruce Johnson of Manistee, MI, Cathy & Pete Landis of Lyman, Wyoming and Annie & Leonard Fox of Memphis, Tennessee, one brother & sister-in-law; Donald & Mary Sheafor of Scottville, MI. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Brenda & Daniel Springborn.

According to David's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Stronach Township cemetery with burial to follow.
