Dean G. Horaszewski's Obituary
Dean "Dino" G. Horaszewski, age 49 of Manistee died Wednesday evening March 29, 2017 in Manistee as the result of a traffic accident. He was born March 30, 1967 in High Wycombe, England and was the son of Helga L. (Doellinger) Horaszewski and the late and great Richard H. Horaszewski. He was a graduate of Manistee High School with the class of 1985.
He is survived by his mother; Helga L. Horaszewski of Portland, OR; one brother, Peter R. (Roberta) Doellinger of Lacey, WA. three sisters; Patricia (Kurt) Hoenack of Arlington, WA, Marilyn Horaszewski of Portland, OR and Miriam (Ron) Belic of Copemish, MI; one niece, Lauren Doellinger of Lacey, WA.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard.
Dean was a compassionate caring person, who had many friends. He could make friends wherever he went, and in him you would have a friend for life. Dean had his friends by his side and he was there for them. They always knew they could count on each other.
Dean had many activities he enjoyed some of them were, spending time with family and friends, anything with the outdoors, hunting, fishing, sitting by the campfire. Dean also enjoyed cooking, listening to "Rock & Roll" and driving his 77 Olds Cutlass.
Dean was a huge inspiration to many; he was not one to feel sorry for himself. He just did his best and never let anything keep him from giving it all he had. You could never tell him he couldn't do something. One of his biggest pleasures was doing things for others; to him it didn't get any better than that.
Dean was a great son, brother and friend, the best you could ask for. He will be deeply missed, not a day will go by that we won't think of him and the joy he brought into our lives. His family and friends will always have the memories of his big smile and a lot of stories to share.
Cremation has taken place and memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee with Reverend Scott Lawler officiating. The family will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the time of Dean's service to receive friends.
The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is in charge of funeral arrangements.
