Donna J. Jacobs, age 81 of Manistee, MI died Wednesday night, June 3, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 3, 1934 in Manistee, Michigan daughter of the late Raymond and Elda (Madsen) Staff. She was a graduate of Manistee High School class of 1952. Donna married LeRoy Jacobs on July 23, 1955 at the Methodist Church in Manistee. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2004. Her life was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always offered forgiveness, acceptance and unconditional love, she was the kind of mother every child needs, sacrificial, compassionate, prayerful, committed and protective. Family gatherings always included anyone needing a place to go. She was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church of Manistee.

She is survived by three daughters & two sons-in-law: Lorna & Gary Perski of Manistee, MI, Karen & Roger Asiala of Colbact Falls, TX and Shelly Newman of Manistee, MI, three sons & one daughter-in-law; Darrell Jacobs of Manistee, MI, Merlin & Rose Jacobs of Milwaukee, WI and Faron Jacobs of Manistee, MI, nine grandchildren; Jackie (Ethan) Wiers, Jenny (Jacob) DeJong, Ryan (Angel) Newman, Matt Newman, Lee Jacobs, Andrea Vonckx, Keeley & Cole Jacobs and Sharon Edic, eight great grandchildren, a sister & brother-in-law; Marilyn & Tom Dugall of Manistee, MI. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her brother Gary Staff.

Funeral Services for Donna will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 9, 2015 at the Heritage Baptist Church in Manistee with Reverend Eric Struble officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Herbert Funeral Home on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. where a Vigil Service will be prayed at 8 p.m. on Monday evening. The family will also receive friends at the church on Tuesday morning one hour prior to the funeral service.
