George P. Adams age, 76 of Manistee, MI died Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at his home.

George was born on July 17, 1946 in Ludington, MI and was a graduate of Manistee High School class of 1966.  He went on to attend Flint Barber College.  George enjoyed showing and breeding Old English Sheep Dogs.  On September 5, 1970, George married Beth A. Bufka in Manistee where they made their home and raised their family. He was employed with the City of Manistee for over 34 years and also Murph's Barber Shop.  He was a member of the Old English Sheep Dog Club of America & WROES.

George is survived by his wife Beth A. Adams of Manistee, MI, his son Aaron Adams of Kent City, MI grandsons, Gabe & Spencer McDougall, and Jordan Wilson, granddaughters Lexie Adams & Lindsie (Zack) Bialik his sister, Judy Halfen of Byron Center, brother-in-law Dale (Barb) Bufka of Battle Creek and son-in-law Craig (Krista) McDougall of Manistee.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

George was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Aimee McDougall, a grandson, Kyle McDougall, sister-in-law Mary Jo Bufka and sister & brother-in-law, Sandy & Jim Kuuttila.

According to George's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee with Reverend Mark O'Brien officiating.  The family will be receiving family and friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon, one hour prior to the service.
