George James O'Brien, age 69 of Manistee, MI died Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Autumnwood of McBain.

He was born February 24, 1955 in Traverse City, MI and was the son of the late John L. and Mary J. (Popa) O'Brien.  He was a graduate of Manistee Catholic Central with the Class of 1973.

George is survived by his siblings, John (Kandy) O'Brien, Dave (Rena) O'Brien, Kathy (Mark) Schott and Deanna Howe.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ronald and Edward O'Brien and 2 brothers-in-law, Ralph Kuna Jr. and Donald Howe.

A private family graveside service was held Monday, April 22, 2024 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Manistee which was led by Reverend Michael Lingaur of Divine Mercy Parish.

The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee was in charge of funeral arrangements.
