Gerald Jerome James Majchrzak, age 74 of Wellston, MI passed away on June 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at Autumnwood of McBain from a long battle of Heart Disease, Dementia and Alzheimer's.

Jerry was born on April 26, 1949 to John & Regina Majchrzak of Manistee.  After Jerry graduated from Manistee Catholic Central in 1967, he went to work for Drop Forge of Manistee.  Shortly thereafter he met the love of his life Patricia Ann Robbins at Phil's BBQ in Manistee and were married on October 11, 1969.  Jerry and Patty went on to have three beautiful daughters, Catherine Marie Majchrzak, Laurie Ann Majchrzak VanFleet and Kristine Lee Majchrzak.

Furthering his career, he then began working at Century Boat.  Though loving his chosen craft, the unfortunate closing of Century Boat spontaneously guided him into studying corrections and jail administration.  Jerry was hired into Manistee County Sheriff's Department in 1987 where he began as a correctional officer and was later promoted to jail administrator for 11 years.

In 2008 Jerry retired and spent his time camping, fishing, hunting and having fun with his family.  Jerry and Patty were inseparable!  The affection, closeness, fellowship and the love they shared.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Patty of 53 years of marriage, his oldest daughter Catherine Majchrzak and grandsons, Daniel Witucki and Jacob Witucki all of Iowa, middle daughter, Laurie VanFleet of Florida and his youngest daughter Kristine Majchrzak of Dublin, Michigan.  He is also survived by his brother & sister-in-law Ken & Elsie Majchrzak of Manistee, Geraldine Majchrzak of Manistee, Theresa & brother-in-law Walt Patrick of Lansing, and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents John & Regina Majchrzak, brother John Jim "Jumbo" Majchrzak, Joe Majchrzak, nephew Joey Majchrzak Jr., sister MaryAnn Jenson, nieces Becky Golnick and Catherine Jensen and brother-in-law Kenny Golnick.

According to Jerry's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee with Reverend Mitchel Roman officiating.  The family will be receiving family and friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning, one hour prior to the service.
