Harold J. Krause, age 75, of Manistee, MI died peacefully early Sunday morning, March 29, 2015 at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility.

He was born November 12, 1939 in Manistee, son of the late Harold D. & Genevieve A. (Kaminski) Krause. He was a graduate of Manistee High School class of 1959. Harold married Janet A. Majewski on April 20, 1963at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee. Harold was employed with The Morton Salt Company as an electrician for 30 years retiring in 2002. He was also a journeyman carpenter, a lifetime member of the Manistee Clan Muzzle Loading Club and a member of the Catholic Community of Manistee (St. Joseph Catholic Church).

Harold is survived by his wife Janet A. Krause of Manistee, MI, two daughters & one son-in-law Heidi & Jerry Russell of Saginaw, MI and Mary Beth Peterson (Craig Sauerman) of Manistee, MI, his grandchildren, Micheala, Merssia, Gerald C. "Bear" II, & Macy Peterson, his sister & brother-in-law, Donna & Charles Bernier of Manistee, MI; his uncle & aunt Clifford & Fran Kaminski. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

He was also preceded in death by an infant sister Pheriba Ann Krause and his brother James A. Krause.

Mass from The Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee with Reverend John McCracken celebrant. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery also in Manistee. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday morning, one hour prior to Harold's funeral mass.

A memorial will be established in Harold's name for St. Joseph Catholic Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and will be available at the church on Saturday morning.
