Jack Thomas Davis was born on September 19, 1936 at the home of his grandparents, the son of Glenn and Fern (Pearce) Davis. He passed away on May 8, 2025. He was a Manistee High School graduate in 1956.

Jack served in the Army National Guard. He loved construction, history, travel and studying his family genealogy. If anyone needed help on any project, Jack was there. Even in his 80's he was working on construction projects.

Jack is survived by two daughters, Jennifer and Sharon, three grandchildren, his sister, Barbara (Stanley) Wilkosz of Grand Haven, his brother, Russ (Veronique) Davis of Belgium. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marilyn Davis, brothers, Dan, Tom, Glenn and Chris Davis, and sisters, Rosemary Thompson, and Kathleen Stypa, brother in-law, John Stypa, sister in-law, Diane (Heuck) Davis and nephew Erin Stypa.

Jack will be remembered for his many talents and for his curiosity, in what was going on in his community, country and world. He shared many great life stories with his family and friends. He will be laid to rest on the family lot, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manistee. The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is in charge of funeral arrangements.
