James L. Janicki, fondly known by his family as asshole, age 77 of Manistee, MI died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 5, 2021.

He was born on March 26, 1944 in Manistee, MI son of the late George F. and Eleanore (Mayrand) Janicki.

James married Melvina M. Dorn on April 24, 1965 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee.  She preceded him in death on June 29, 2016.

He is survived by his son Mike Janicki of Manistee, MI, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers & sisters in law, Wayne & Betty Janicki of Manistee, MI and Dan & Sharon Janicki of Eastlake, MI.  Nieces and nephews also survive him.

He was preceded in death by his wife Melvina, his daughter Monica S. Janicki, and his son Anthony J. Janicki.

There will be no services planned at this time.
