Jean Marie Pomerville found peace Thursday, March 19, 2026 at home.  Jean was born January 16, 1960 in Manistee, MI where she spent her entire life, graduating Manistee High School with the class of 1978. Jean was a lover of Boston Terriers, owning and caring for several over the years. She also loved spending time at Fifth Avenue Beach and appreciated all the fond memories of growing up on the Manistee beach and Lake Michigan shoreline.

She is survived by her son, Clay (Justine) Slawinski and two grandsons of Manistee, MI.  She is also survived her siblings, Mary Kowalski of Milwaukee, WI, Sue (George) Neuman and Brenda (Dean) Paschke all of Sturgeon Bay, WI and John (Sue) Pomerville of Sylvan Lake, MI; her niece Jill (Dennis) Allard and great nephew, Michael of Green Bay, WI.  She is further survived by her special and longtime friend, Dave Gramza.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Nettie (Mucha) Pomerville and brother-n-law, Frank T. Kowalski.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at the Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee from 11:00 AM until Noon.  The family will be at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until Noon on Friday to receive friends and welcome fellowship. Moments of reflection and memory sharing will follow and conclude with prayers of farewell.
