Joan Marie Adamski, age 82, of Manistee, Michigan, died Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at her home, unexpectedly.

She was born on June 8, 1941, daughter of the late Clarence J. and Bernice E. (Patulski) Adamski. Joan was a graduate of Saint Joseph High School with the class of 1959. She was employed at the Glen of Michigan in Manistee, until the company closed. She then was employed at the Big Boy Restaurant in Manistee, until her retirement. Joan enjoyed playing bingo, playing pinochle and going to the casino. She also loved to knit and sew and attend craft shows with her products. She was well known for being very generous with giving her knitted and sewn crafts, to her friends. Joan was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish of Manistee (St. Joseph Catholic Church). She had been very active with the MCC Moms Club while it was in operation.

Joan is survived by two sisters, Arlene Adamski and Rosemary Maue both of Manistee, MI, two nephews, Jeremy (Rebecca) Maue and their son Hunter Maue all of Freesoil, MI, and Ryan Maue of Atlanta, Georgia.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law; Richard C. Adamski and Harold and Hilda Adamski and by her brother-in-law, Russell Maue.

According to Joan's wishes, cremation has taken place and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee, with Reverend Mitchel Roman celebrant. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery also in Manistee.
