Joanne B. (Tonkin) Snyder age 90 of Wellston, Michigan, died peacefully on Saturday afternoon, October 7, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 9, 1927 in Big Rapids, Michigan daughter of the late Lee and Eda (Vietzke) Tonkin. Joanne was a graduate of Big Rapids High School with the class of 1945. She married Floyd D. Snyder on November 9, 1946 in Big Rapids, Michigan. Floyd preceded her in death, on March 24, 1998. Joanne was employed for twenty five years at the Manistee Abstract & Title Company until retiring in 1988.

She is survived by her daughter, Lois J. Snyder, her daughter in-law, Marcia Snyder, her grandson, Robert Snyder and great granddaughter Anna G. Snyder,sister and brother in-law, Marilyn and Robert Aldrich, and her very special friends, Tom and Jackie Richmond, and her BFF Helen Leggett.

Joanne was preceded in death besides her parents and husband Floyd, by her son, Gary L. Snyder, her step-father, Robert E. Telfer, her sister Dixie Lee Sunzere and by two infant sons.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place and burial was in the Wellston Cemetery, on Saturday, October 14, 2017.

The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee was in charge of funeral arrangements.
