Joseph P. Stefanski, age 87 of Manistee, Michigan died peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022.

He was born in Manistee on April 13, 1935, the son of the late Joseph & Selma (Jankowiak) Stefanski.

He is survived by his wife Marianne of 53 years and children: Tom (Mona) Stefanski, Kelly Stefanski, Peggy (Jeff) Brown, Patrick Stefanski and Jody (partner Bill) Stefanski all of Tucson, AZ, Sandy Brown of Anaheim, CA, James (Nikki) Wilde of Howell MI, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his sister Barbara Skowronski of Mequon WI, sister Fran Stefanski S.R. of Manistee, MI, brother Tom (Sally) Stefanski of Manistee, MI and Mike (Mary Lou) Stefanski of Gwinn MI. and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was proud, dependable, honest and well-liked by many in and out of town people, the owner and operator of Joe's Standard Service for over 40 years and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Manistee and the J.C.'s where he made sure the J.C. firetruck was in perfect running condition for all Manistee parades. He was also a member of the world's worst fishermen. He loved fishing on Crystal Lake and also enjoyed snowmobiling and snowshoeing with the family and deer hunting.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, for Joe, on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Manistee, with Reverend Richard Bartoszek celebrant. Family visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph's Church Audio System Fund, or the charity of your choice.
