Obituary

On March 20, 2024 Jordan Grenn of Onekama passed away at Munson Healthcare Traverse City after a very brief illness with liver and pancreatic cancer at the age of 38.

Jordan was born on October 13, 1985 at West Shore Hospital in Manistee - the son of Connie Grenn of Onekama and Joseph Grenn of Manistee. He was a graduate of Onekama High School, class of 2004.

Jordan was a passionate devotee to all things sports but, when it came to Michigan teams - he was a crazed fanatic! He was versed in giving stats, every player's name, what college or high school they came from, and was always willing to educate you if you were willing to listen. He was blessed with an artistic ability that included his love of drawing, painting, writing music, and playing guitar. He loved playing golf, but he loved the guys he shared the green with even more. He was an incredible uncle to his one and only niece and nephew. He had a heart of gold, an incredible knack with numbers, spelling, and sports. He never worried about himself, but was the first to cheer you on and cared about others deeply and always. That being said, Jordan was an organ donor, so his corneas will bless another with the gift of sight. But, arguably his best trait - you could always count on Jordan for the raw truth.

Jordan is survived by his mom, Connie, his father Joe, his brother and sister in love, Rudi and Natasha, brother Jesse, his maternal Grandmother Heide, and the two loves of his life, his nephew Denver and niece Willow, both of Houston. He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, countless friends, and his best friend and confidant Keith. Jordan was preceded in death by his brother Colin, his Aunt Heide, his maternal Grandpa Jack and his paternal Grandma Issy who always made it clear he was her favorite!

The outpouring of love, compassion and monetary help our community, friends and family have blessed our family with has helped us endure this enormous loss of our one and only Jordan. Please join us to share memories of Jordan, enjoy a meal, beverages, and comradery just the way Jordan would have loved it.

A Celebration of Jordan's life will be held from 2:00-6:00 pm at the Manistee County Fairground Pavilion, this Saturday, March 30th. The family invites you to share this day with us.

Jordan has been cremated. The family will hold a private ceremony for Jordan later this summer. A Go Fund Me for Jordan has been set up for the family.

The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is in charge of funeral arrangements.
