June Doreen (Fredericksen) Elms passed away peacefully at her home in Holland, Michigan on June 22, 2017. June was born in Manistee, Michigan on November 10, 1945 to Dorothy (Raatz) and Martin "Zonie" Fredericksen. She graduated from Manistee High School in 1963. She married Michael James Elms on November 27, 1965 at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Shrine in Manistee, Michigan and later moved to Holland, Michigan where they started their family.

Along with being an amazing and beloved wife, mother and grandmother, June enjoyed her 30 year career with Holland Surgical Associates, MMPC and Spectrum Health.

June and Mike lived in Holland and enjoyed spending time in Manistee and Beaver Island where they had many family and friends. She loved every minute spent with her family, especially during the holidays. The 4 ^th of July and Christmas were her favorites. June hosted these holidays with attention to every detail and her entire family looked forward to coming together to make great memories. She was avid in genealogy and enjoyed connecting with relatives all over the world. June was thoughtful of everyone and we are very grateful for the time we had with her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy (Raatz) and Martin "Zonie" Fredericksen. June will forever be missed by her loving husband, family and her many friends. She was married to her husband Mike for fifty-two years and had four children and twelve grandchildren. Children and grandchildren: Brian and Jill Elms (Katie, Danielle, Jonathan, Mitchell), Colleen & David Salas (Claire, Olivia, Ava), Terri & Mike Wallace (Erin, Kasey) and Tim & Jennifer Elms (Andrew, Amelia, Henry). Sisters: Donna (Bernie) Lavas, Julie (Jim) Hewitt and Debbie (Bernie) Pieczynski. Brothers and sisters- in-law, Rick & Mary Kay Elms, Tom & Barb Elms and Nancy & Don Tritsch. Many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 521 Cypress Street in Manistee, Michigan with Pastor Kevin McClain officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery also in Manistee, Michigan. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday two hours prior to the funeral service at 1:00 PM. A luncheon for family and friends will follow the graveside services at the cemetery, back at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church - Fellowship Hall. The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is in charge of funeral services.
