Kimberly Sue Hughes, age 59, of Manistee, died unexpectedly Friday, April 24, 2015 at her home.

She was born November 17, 1955 in Little Rock Arkansas, daughter of the late Joan Davis & Richard Lee.

She was a graduate of Manistee High School with the Class of 1974. Kim married Daniel Lloyd Hughes on February 18, 1977 in Manistee.

She was employed with the Manistee Public School System as a bus driver until her retirement in 2008. She enjoyed buying, selling and collecting antiques. She also loved going to thrift stores and garage sales. She had a great eye for decorating and loved the retro-style. Kim's top priority was her family. She cherished the time with her grandchildren and always made sure they felt loved.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Daniel; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Sarah & Adam Madsen of Manistee, MI and Melissa & Reid Fonger of Kalamazoo, MI; 6 grandchildren: Dylan, Ruby, Monty, Josephine, Ethan & Lillian; 1 brother: Bob Lee; 4 sisters & one brother-in-law: Debra Lee and Sally Harris, Elizabeth Lee and Suzanne & Trevor Devine. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her mother & father-in-law: Ann and Lloyd Hughes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee with Reverend John McCracken Celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery also in Manistee. The family will be at the funeral home one hour prior to Kim's funeral service to receive friends.
