Kyle James Nelson age 31, of Manistee, Michigan. Died peacefully surrounded by his family, early Sunday morning, January 17, 2021 at his home in Manistee.

He was born on March 2, 1989 in Traverse City, Michigan son of James and Cathy (Harthun) Nelson. Kyle was a self- taught guitar player who loved to sit and play his guitar. He earned his black belt in martial arts and enjoyed acting in his high school drama class as well as in the Ramsdell Theater Productions. Kyle loved to travel in the United States and had back-packed around Europe by himself. During his travels he made numerous friends and had varies jobs to support his travels.

He is survived by his parents, James and Cathy (Harthun) Nelson of Manistee. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.

Kyle was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Clara (Adamski) Nelson and by his maternal grandparents, Irene (Ware) and Frank Oleniczak and Hilbert "Pete" Harthun.

Cremation has taken place and due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of Kyle's life will be held at a later date.

The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is in charge of funeral arrangements.
