Reese
Aug 5, 1930 — Jan 26, 2019
Lenora Joan (Warner) Reese left Manistee, Michigan on January 26, 2019 to join her Lord and loved ones in Heaven.
She was born on August 5, 1930 to Leonora May (Beatty) Warner and William Horace Warner in Patton Township which is now known as Monroeville, Pennsylvania. She graduated in 1948 from Turtle Creek High School, Attended Art School in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Hixson's Floral Design School in Lakewood, Ohio. She started a floral business from her home in 1957 with a friend, $40.00 and a used cooler. In 1961 she opened Warner's Flowers in Monroeville, PA and was self employed until her retirement. She shared her talent teaching flower arranging at adult education classes for a number of years. In addition to her business she was an avid gardener and at one time was a breeder of gladiolus, and a member of the Pennsylvania Gladiolus Society. She was a long
time member of local Garden Clubs and received many awards for her work. In 1988 she earned a Life Certificate as a Senior Judge of Flower Shows of the National Council of State Garden Clubs. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed a number of other crafts. Most important to Lenora was her Christian faith which she instilled in her daughters. She sang in the Church choir and was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons in law, Linda and Guy Finout of Manistee MI and Kris and Del Leichliter of Smock PA, two grandchildren and their spouses, Brian and Jenn Leichliter of Washington PA and Kari and Dave Shrout of Morgantown WV. She had four great grandchildren, Wyatt Leichliter, Lily Leichliter, Harper Shrout and Blake Shrout. She was blessed to have loving caregivers, Alisha Edmondson, Tammy Parks, Linda Heidorf and Janita Gamache who became like family to her.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Joel Anhalt and Hospice of Michigan for the care and support they offered, especially Deb and Elaine.
Her burial will be at the family plot at the Cross Roads Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Monroeville, PA in the spring.
