Three grandchildren: Kristin Brunnegraf of Ohio, Colin Wittlieff of Benzonia, and Claire Wittlieff of Manistee. He is also survived by a special nephew, Paul Paprocki, of Cooks, Michigan, who he mentored in hunting and fishing, and enjoyed spending time with.

Leonard was preceded in death by three brothers: Claude (Lou) Wittlieff, Clem (Charmaine) Wittlieff, and Phillip (Mary Ann) Wittlieff, and two sisters: Genevieve (Roy) Ross and his twin sister, Leona (Carl) Marzinsski.
