Lois Carol (Johnson) Orosco, age 74 of Manistee, peacefully went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 with her husband and daughter at her side.
She was born in Manistee on July 3rd, 1946, daughter of the late Carl Johnson and Martha (Galwas) Johnson. Lois graduated from Manistee High School in 1964. She married Tomas Orosco on April 20th,1968, and together they built a life, a family, and shared 53 years of marriage. Before retirement, Lois was a manager at Wesco for 25 years. While at Wesco, she built many life-long friendships, and she continued to cherish those relationships.
Lois loved her pets, Sweetie and Fuzzy Duster. She also enjoyed watching birds on the bird feeder. She was especially fond of cardinals because to her it meant that a loved one who passed was near. She liked to work in her flower gardens and watch things grow. She found beauty in every flower and in every person. Everyone appreciated her sense of humor and outspoken nature. It was clear that Lois had a very big heart and her family meant everything to her. She was a wonderful cook and put a lot of love into hosting family dinners every Sunday. She loved very deeply and was supportive of everyone around her. She took great pride in her grandchildren and never missed any of the many activities that they participated in.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Elena (Orosco) Karasinski, her son-in-law Matthew Karasinski, her brother-in-law Bill Gerred and her nephew Paul Gerred. We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her daughter, whom she missed dearly.
Lois is survived by her husband Tomas (Bosco) Orosco; her sister Judy Gerred; her daughter Leah Peterson and son-in-law Stacy Peterson; her three grandchildren, Shane Peterson, Alycia Peterson, and Emmaleigh Karasinski; and multiple nieces and nephews whom she loved so very much.
