Louise A. Miller, age 100, of Manistee, died peacefully Thursday early afternoon, June 14, 2018 at her residence, Green Acres of Manistee. She was born October 29, 1917 in Pinelawn, Missouri, daughter of the late Joseph & Augusta (Ranger) Sladek. She married Lewis W. Miller on July 28, 1951 in Pinelawn, MO. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1993. Louise was employed with the Michigan Bell Telephone Company in Ann Arbor, MI from 1943 until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers. Louise had a passion for music. She loved working in her flower garden, reading books and crocheting.

She is survived by her niece, Lois (Sam) Faires of Birmingham, AL; other nieces & nephews, Larry (Rosie) Perski of Manistee, MI, Kathy (Skye) Wittig of Kaleva, MI, Linda (Wayne) Weigel of Manistee, MI, Eugene Perski of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Mary Herbert and Debbie Skocelas both of Manistee, MI.

In addition to her parents and husband Lewis, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Norval) Urie and her brother and sister-in-law, Francis (Lorraine) Sladek; her sister-in-law, Charlotte Perski and 3 nephews, Gary Urie, Allan Urie and Brian Perski.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and her immediate family will gather for burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manistee at a later date.
