Mary Jane Eroh age 77 of Eastlake, Michigan died Friday morning, April 7, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 12, 1939 in Eastlake, Michigan and was the daughter of the late William and Isabelle (Bernier) Malenowski. She was a graduate of Manistee High School with the class of 1957.     Mary Jane married Fredrick "Fred" Eroh on July 8, 1972 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Shrine Church in Manistee. Fred preceded her in death on June 11, 2013. Most of her life was devoted to raising her family and spending time with them. Her hobbies included gardening especially raising flowers, traveling and watching University of Michigan Football. She was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish (St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Shrine) of Manistee and the St. Mary's Altar Society where she was very active in the church community and a devoted worker on the church bingo's. She also was chairperson of the funeral luncheon program for many years.

Mary Jane is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Sharon and Rick Briske of Manistee, MI, her son and daughter in-law; Bill and Jill Eroh of Maumee, Ohio, two grandchildren, Matthew Eroh and Brayden Eroh both of Maumee, Ohio, and two step grandchildren, Taylor Briske and Hailey Briske both of Manistee. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.

She was also preceded in death by her sister Joan M. Malenowski on January 7, 2002.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee with Reverend James Bearss celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery also in Manistee. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday morning one hour prior to the funeral mass at 11:00 AM. The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is in Charge of funeral arrangements.
