Nancy Jane Zawacki age 71 of Manistee, Michigan, died Sunday night, September 29, 2019 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 5, 1947 in Hinsdale, Illinois, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Eldon) Mathy. Nancy married Ronald T. Zawacki on May 23, 2004 in Manistee, Michigan. She was employed in the kitchen at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility, until her retirement. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, loved animals and being in the outdoors, gardening, doing crossword puzzles, baseball and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Ronald T. Zawacki, five daughters and two sons in-law, Melissa Guenthardt, Erica Puckett, Pam and Kenn Rosenbrock, Julie Kuenzer and Connie and Bob Zwiefka, her grandchildren, Isabella, Ean, Andrew P, Miranda, Jeremiah, Kira, Jordan, Justen, Andrew B. and Kaelee and several great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her as well as her beloved dog "Howie".

Nancy was preceded in death by her brother Joe Mathy.

According to Nancy's wishes cremation has taken place, and the family will receive friends at the All Purpose Room at the Faith Covenant Church at 475 Eighth Street in Manistee on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 3:30 PM until 5:30 PM.
