Richard G. Guillen Sr., age 83 of Manistee, died early Monday morning, August 28, 2023, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan.

He was born on April 15, 1940, in Corpus Christi, Texas, son of the late Franansco and Luz (Garza) Guillen.

Richard is survived by his wife Cheryl, his children Richard Jr. (Bridget) Guillen and Rudy (Shelley) Guillen, Marci (Jim) Novak, Scott (Summer) Cabot, his grandchildren Rudy Jr., Jessica, Erin, Eva and Ian, great grandchildren Mia and Miguel, sister Juanita and brother Albert, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Angie and seven brothers, Ruben, Frank, Arnoldo, Charlie, Israel, Gilbert and JV.

A Graveside Service will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery September 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at Filer Township Recreation Center.

The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is in charge of funeral arrangements.
