Richard "Rick" Tomaszewski age 63, of Manistee died Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Oakview Medical Care Facility in Ludington, after a short battle with cancer.

He was born on May 10, 1953 in Manistee, Michigan son of the late Frank "Bud" and Lorraine "Lori" (Schulski) Tomaszewski. He was a graduate of Manistee Catholic Central High School with the class of 1971. His whole life his heart & soul were into driving trucks from logging for his father to driving coast to coast.

Rick is survived by his children Rebecca (Keith) Illig, Ranelle (Alex) Terry and Rick Tomaszewski, 10 grandchildren, 3 sisters Juanita (Tom) Guenthardt, Rena (Dave) O'Brien and Danielle "Dani" (Bob) Banicki, 3 brothers Steven (Tracey) Tomaszewski, Michael (Tammy) Tomaszewski and Paul Tomaszewski. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

He was preceded in death by his cousin Frank "Gary" Tomaszewski, his grandparents, Edward and Vera Schulski and Frank and Anna Tomaszewski.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Manistee with Reverend Kevin Francis celebrant. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery also in Manistee. The family will be at the church one hour prior to his funeral Mass to receive friends.
