Richard "Ric" W. Acles, age 60, of Manistee, died unexpectedly Saturday evening March 28, 2015 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.

He was born April 1, 1954 in Detroit, MI, son of the late Richard & Connie (Geishek) Acles. He was a graduate of Southfield High School with the class of 1972. Ric married Sandra "Sandy" K. Kramp on December 16, 1983 in Houghton, MI. Ric enjoyed reading, working on his computer and photography. Ric and Sandy enjoyed spending time and appreciating the beauty of Lake Michigan.

Ric is survived by his wife Sandy; his children, Laura Acles and Michael Acles both of Manistee and David (Anne) Acles of Mt. Pleasant; 4 grandchildren, Amber, Adriana, Pierce and Aiden and his brother Wayne Acles of Detriot; and his mother-in-law, Rosemary Kramp of Manistee; His dog Jasmine also survives him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Allen Kramp.

Cremation has taken place and the family will be at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening, April 3, 2015 to receive friends.

A memorial has been established in Ric's name for Homeward Bound Animal Shelter of Manistee. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
