Rita Mae Kamm, age 88 of Manistee, MI died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at West Shore Medical Center surround by her family.

She was born on May 4, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan daughter of the late Peter & Victoria (Dereszynski) Kamm. She was a graduate of St. Elizabeth's High School in Detroit, MI class of 1945.

She was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone for 33 years retiring on February 14, 1981. After her retirement Rita moved to Manistee where she has made her home since. She was a member of the Catholic Community of Manistee and also a member of the Michigan Bell Telephone Pioneers, past member of the West Shore Hospital Auxiliary and Friends of the Library.

She is survived by her brother and sister in-law; Paul & Mary Kamm of Warren, MI, her nieces and nephews, locally by her niece Ann Link of Manistee, with whom she made her home with, Paul & Sue Link of Lake Orion, MI, Peggy Robinson of Livonia, MI, Kevin Kamm of Laguna Niguel, CA.

She was preceded in death by two brothers & one sister-in-law, Theodore Kamm and Harry & Connie Kamm and by a sister & brother-in-law, Margaret & Andrew Link.

Mass From the Order of Christian funerals will be celebrated on Monday February 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee with Reverend Richard Schaeffer celebrant. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery also in Manistee.

The family will be at the church on Monday morning 1 hour prior to the funeral mass to receive friends.
