Robert Roy Gunia age 88 of East Lake, Michigan died Friday evening, August 18, 2017 at Mercy Health Saint Mary's Campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Jane F. (Staff) Gunia and their children and families. Bob was born in Eastlake, Michigan on May 22, 1929 and was the son of the late Raymond and Mary (Polisky) Gunia. He retired from the United States Marine Corp after twenty four years of service. Private family Mass was celebrated with Rev. Rubin Munoz. Burial will take place at the Gunia Family Cemetery. The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee was in charge of funeral arrangements.
