Roy Henry Wicinski age 87 of Menominee, Michigan, died Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was born on December 16, 1929 in Manistee, Michigan and was the son of the late Henry and Constance "Gusty" (Krus) Wicinski. Roy attended Saint Joseph Grade School in Manistee and was a graduate of Manistee High School with the class of 1947. He married Janice E. Hedlund on July 11, 1952 in Nagoya, Japan. She preceded him in death on January 7th, 2009. Roy served in the United States Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant from 1947 until his discharge on July 31, 1972. He then was employed for one year with the United States Postal Service and in 1973 was employed with the National Weather Service as a Meteorologist until his retirement in 1985. He was a life member of the Menominee V.F. W. Post and the American Legion Post.

Roy is survived by his daughter; Kathy Porter of Parker, CO, two sons and daughters in-law; Tom and Beverly Wicinski of Ottawa, IL, and Rob and Gina Wicinski of Geneva, IL, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and his special friends; Tina Van Cleve and Roy Bauchan.

Roy was also preceded in death by his sister Rita Salkowski.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Manistee, MI, with Reverend Pablo Martinez officiating. Graveside Military honors will be given by the Members of the Manistee County United Veterans Council Ritual Squad.
