Ruth T. Niemierowicz, age 87, of Manistee, MI died Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility surrounded by her family. She was born September 20, 1928, daughter of the late Joseph & Sally (Bartozek) Bladzik. She was a graduate of Manistee High School. Ruth married Edward F. Niemierowicz on July 30, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1996. She enjoyed working at the Little Red School House Store in Manistee where she was employed for for many years.
Ruth enjoyed backing, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the M.C.C. Mom's Club, the Catholic Community of Manistee (St. Joseph Church) and the St. Joseph Rosary/Altar Society.

She is survived by 1 daughter & son-in-law, Cheryl & Ronald Hathaway of Manistee, MI and 1 son & daughter-in-law, Mark & Kathleen Niemerowicz of Grand Haven, MI; 5 grandchildren, Lisa DeArmond, Matthew (Amy) Barnett, Nathan Niemerowicz, Sarah Davidson and Kate (Adam) Weber; 2 great-grandchildren, Austin Barnett & Claire Weber; 2 brothers & 1 sister-in-law, Joseph & Elaine Bladzik of Eastlake, MI and Dale Bladzik of Manistee, MI; 2 sisters and 1brother-in-law, Jean Schrader of Manistee and Harriet Sielski & Kenneth Sielski of Manistee; 2 sisters-in-law, Lorraine Feliczak and Marion Bladzik both of Manistee, MI. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

In addition to her parents and husband Edward, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers & 2 sisters-in-law, Dennis & Lillian Bladzik and David Bladzik and Linda Bladzik and her 1 brother-in-law, Roger Schrader.

A Memorial Mass from The Order of Christian funerals will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee with Reverend Richard Schaeffer celebrant. Burial will take place immediately following her Memorial Mass at Mt. Carmel Cemetery also in Manistee. The family will be at the church one hour prior to Ruth's Memorial Mass to receive friends.

Memorials have been established in Ruth's name for Manistee Catholic Central Schools and the Catholic Community of Manistee. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and also will be available at the church.
