Sandra
Brown
Feb 18, 1946 — Aug 12, 2019
Northfield
Sandra K. (Christianson) Brown, aged 73, was surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully ended her earthly journey and returned to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 12, 2019, in Northfield, Minnesota.
Sandy was born in Big Rapids, Michigan on February 18, 1946. On June 11, 1966, Sandy married John Brown in Big Rapids. She co-pastored in Manistee with her husband, Pastor John, for 42 years. Sandy and John also served as missionaries, traveling overseas to bring the gospel to the world. They proclaimed Christ's love through countless trips to the Philippines, Honduras, Mexico, the Middle East, Korea, Hong Kong and China. Sandy had a Christ-heart for the poorest of the poor, loving those who needed love most. She was faithful, fun, insightful, compassionate, and very open to the move of the Holy Spirit in her churches and in her life. Her life changed others. Her love healed and empowered all who knew her. We can only imagine Christ's joy at their eternal reunion.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 53 years, her son Mark (Stephanie) of Manistee, Michigan and grandchildren Phillip and Nicole; her son David (Tricia) of Northfield, Minnesota, and grandchildren Hannah, Cassandra, and Elizabeth (Levi), great-grandson Theandro, and heart-adopted granddaughter Mackenzie Kaminski and her son Ryder; brother John Christianson and sister Mary LaBeouf, both of Big Rapids, Michigan.
Sandy will be missed by her three dear friends who ministered and did life together with her for over thirty years: Dr. Patricia Hilliard of Naples, Florida, Lynne Smith of Lexington, Kentucky, and Rev. Dr. Bobby Cabot of Manistee, Michigan.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father and mother, Al and Celia Christianson, and an infant son, Daniel.
Cremation has taken place, with no service planned at this time. Memorials can be sent to Pastor John Brown, 410 Union Street, Northfield, Minnesota to help with final expenses.
