Sharon Kay Szymarek passed away unexpectedly on Sunday December 11, 2022 in her home at the age of 79.

Sharon was born in Midland, MI to Clarence and Margaret (Wavra) Augustine on March 26, 1943.

Sharon is survived by her children, Tim Long, Jackie Najdowski, Laura Grant, Kevin Szymarek, and Karen (Richard) Colon. She has seven Grandchildren, James (Danielle), Jenna (Ajdin), Tiffany, Ben, Nathan, Jonathan, and Aiden, and one great grandson, Jasper. Sharon has five surviving siblings, Kathy (Ken) Burlingame, Marilyn (Jim) Greene, David (Janet) Augustine, Deb (Jim) LaFramboise, and Mary Augustine, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews and her dog, Tigger.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Barb, Dorothy, and brothers Bill, Lester, and Ken, one angel baby, and several angel grandbabies.

Sharon spent her adult life in Manistee. She loved growing flowers and her roses were the envy of many. She enjoyed photography and loved the boardwalk and watching the big boats come up the river. Knitting, crocheting and painting were her passions in retirement. She lived life simply and found joy in the small things such as spoiling her grandkids, great grandchild, and nieces and nephews.

In honor of her wishes, no funeral services will be held. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date. In Lieu of sending flowers, please consider planting flowers in her honor and post pictures of blooms on her facebook page.
