Shirley Ann Krause's Obituary
Shirley A. Krause, age 86, of Manistee, MI died Thursday morning, March 1, 2018 at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility in Manistee.
She was born on October 12, 1931 in Princeton, IL daughter of the late John E. and Helen E. (Jensen) Barch. She attended Manistee High School and was employed as a housekeeper at the Chippewa Hotel and also worked at the Sibben Street Grill.
Shirley was a hardworking and remarkable woman. She was known for her ambition and generosity. She was very family oriented; she was a devoted mother and grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved reading, country music and John Wayne movies.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Tim & Jean Krause of Manistee, MI her granddaughters, Laurinda Krause of Manistee, MI and Seasha DeRougemont of FL and one sister Alice Clark of Manistee, MI. Several nieces and nephews also survive her.
She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a brother John E. Barch Jr. an infant son, Harold J. Krause and a son Tom Barch.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Grant Township Cemetery in Mason County with Reverend Pablo Martinez officiating.
The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is in charge of funeral arrangements.
