Stephanie Laurielle Wahr, age 37, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Stephanie was born on October 27, 1988, to LoriAnn Perski Wahr and Bradley Wahr. She graduated from Brethren High School with the Class of 2007 and was active in many activities during her years at Manistee High School, including the ski team, swim team, volleyball, band, and 4-H. Stephanie had a love for learning and adventure, which led her to attend Baker College, where she earned both her private pilot license and her Bachelor of Business Management degree in 2011.

Stephanie worked as a data analyst for Tyson Foods. Outside of work, she truly loved being outdoors. She enjoyed hiking, camping, horseback riding, and spending time with animals. She especially adored her sheltie, Izzy, who was a constant companion and brought her endless joy. Her compassion for animals and gentle spirit were a big part of who she was, and she brought warmth and kindness to the people and pets around her.

More than anything, Stephanie will be remembered for her caring heart, adventurous nature, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, LoriAnn Wahr; her father, Bradley Wahr, of Manistee; her significant other of 13 years, Craig Ruhl, and his son, Jacob; her sister, Marian Wahr; her brothers, Jason (Leigh) Wahr, David Wahr, and Joey Kott; her nieces, Madison, Olivia, and Zoey Wahr; and her nephew, Grayson Self. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bernard and Marian (Ledford) Perski, and her paternal grandparents, Harold and Dorothy Wahr.

A celebration of Stephanie's life will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Faith Covenant Church, 475 8th Street, Manistee.

Those wishing to honor Stephanie's memory are asked to consider a donation in her name to Wings of Rescue, P.O. Box 60203, San Diego, CA 92160. Envelopes will be available at the church for those attending the celebration of life. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Herbert Funeral Home.
