Thresa M. Patulski age 84 of Filer City, Michigan died Thursday, February 5, 2015, unexpectedly in Marquette, Michigan. She was born on October 13, 1930 in Manistee, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Casmer and Irene (Grabowski) Patulski. As a young lady Thresa was employed at the Manistee Shoe Factory and later devoted her time to raising her family. Thresa enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially tending to her vegetable garden and growing and taking care of her flowers.
She is survived by two daughters and a son in-law; Lisa and Bob Hilliard of Manistee, MI, and Linda Pomeroy of Marquette, MI, her son and daughter in-law; Jeff and Kathy Garcia of Manistee, seven grandchildren; Joe Edmondson, Amber and Raja Howe, Antonia Hilliard, Jeffrey Garcia, Randy Garcia Jr, Mike Garcia and Melinda Marcum. Several nieces and nephews also survive her.
She was also preceded in death by her son Randy Garcia and by her sisters Roselle "Anna" and Waley Garcia, Janet and Raymond Garcia and Veronica Vitucki.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Walsh Post #4499 VFW Hall in Manistee with Reverend Edward Gilbert officiating. A luncheon for family and friends will take place at the VFW Hall, immediately following Thresa memorial service.
Thresa's family will receive friends at the Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. and at the VFW Hall on Saturday afternoon, one hour prior to her memorial service.
