Timothy J. Frain, age 68, of Manistee, MI died Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI.  He was born June 6, 1958 in Frankfort, MI, son of the late James & Ellen (Harthun) Frain. He was employed as a newspaper distributor for the Grand Rapids Press.

Timothy is survived by his companion of 30 years, Rita A. Gilman; one sister & brother-in-law, Phyllis & Edward Gilbert of Cadillac, MI; one brother & sister-in-law, Rodney & Susan Frain of Manistee, MI.  Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive him.

In addition to his parents James and Ellen, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kelly Frain.

According to Tim's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be   held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 17, 2026 at the Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee with Rev. Edward Gilbert officiating.  Immediately following Tim's service at the funeral home, a cordiality luncheon will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church also in Manistee.  The family will be at Herbert Funeral Home on Friday morning one hour prior to the service time to receive friends.
