Trinity Wolfgang
Derooy
Mar 30, 1994 — Feb 22, 2021
Austin
On February 22, 2021 Trinity Wolfgang DeRooy, a loving father of two children, Soren and Mavis DeRooy and his step daughter Mickaeia, after a long and courageous battle with depression, took his own life at 27 years young.
Trinity, was born March 30, 1994 in Manistee, Mi. He is survived by his parents, Larry DeRooy, Nadeen DeRooy and Gabriele Romine (Doerr). His sisters, Stephanie Travis and Nakita Eby, his brothers John Oakley, Steve and Thomas DeRooy and several cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. He graduated from Lewiston-Altura High School in 2013, receiving his high school diploma.
Trinity's sense of humor had a way of making people smile and feel welcomed in any environment. His smile could light up any room and even brighten the darkest of days. He loved his children, always made time for them and did everything necessary to make sure they were happy. Trinity will be remembered for his courage during difficult times and even though he took his own life, we know his soul is at peace.
"Perhaps my time seemed all too brief; don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me; God wanted me now, He set me free."
Funeral services will be held at Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee, MI on March 10, 2021 at 1pm with Pastor Joyce Newman officiating. Burial will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in the spring of 2021. We encourage anyone that knew Trinity and would like to show their love and help light his way home, to please attend.
